Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By using Locograph, you agree to these Terms. Locograph is a SaaS platform operated by a sole proprietor in the European Union.

2. Service Overview

Locograph automatically displays location tags on blog photos using GPS EXIF data. We extract coordinates, reverse-geocode them to place names, and cache the results. We do not store your original images.

3. Your Account

  • You must be 18+ to use the Service
  • Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate your account for: violations of these Terms, fraud, illegal activity, or payment issues. Upon termination, all account data is immediately deleted.

4. Billing

  • 14-day free trial on paid plans (no card required)
  • Monthly/annual billing renews automatically; you'll get email notice
  • 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions
  • Refunds after 30 days are at our discretion
  • Plan changes (upgrade/downgrade) take effect immediately; downgrades apply next billing cycle
  • Failed payments: We retry; access is suspended if unresolved. You're liable for amounts due
  • Price changes: 30 days' notice applies to future renewals only

5. Quotas

Each plan has three limits: Display quota (lifetime image cap), Processing quota (weekly processing limit), Site quota (how many sites you can add). When exceeded: display quota blocks new selections; processing quota blocks processing until reset or upgrade; site quota blocks adding sites.

6. Your Content and Rights

You retain all rights to your content (images, metadata, domains). By using Locograph, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process images, extract GPS data, store coordinates/place names, cache results, and display derived analytics.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the widget code. The widget is MIT-licensed for use on your blog only. Free plans require "Powered by Locograph" branding; Pro/Business plans may remove it. Don't misrepresent our Service or falsely claim our endorsement.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't use Locograph for: illegal content, harassment, spam/malware, mass data scraping, competitive reverse-engineering, misrepresented domains, or rate-limit abuse. Violations result in account suspension and termination.

8. Warranties and Liability

The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness, accuracy, and uptime. We do not warrant EXIF extraction reliability, location accuracy, or indefinite availability.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before your claim (€0 for Free plan users). This applies to all damages except where prohibited by law. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Data and Security

See our Privacy Policy for full details. Briefly: We collect account data, site config, image metadata, location data, analytics (Pro+), and SEO logs (Pro+ SEO). We do not store original images. We use HTTPS and Row-Level Security (RLS). No system is 100% secure; we disclaim liability for unauthorized access beyond our control.

GDPR: EU users have rights to access, rectify, delete, and port data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10. Third-Party Services

Locograph uses Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting/cache), Geoapify (geocoding), Inngest (background jobs), Leaflet.js/OpenStreetMap (maps), Sentry.io (error monitoring), Resend (email), and GitHub (feedback/issues). You're responsible for reviewing their privacy policies.

11. Changes and Discontinuation

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with 30 days' notice. Significant changes receive email notice. We are not liable for damages from modifications.

12. Termination

You can terminate anytime via account settings (effective end of billing period). We can terminate immediately for: violations, fraud, illegal activity, payment issues, or security threats. Upon termination: access revoked, all data deleted immediately and permanently, refunds only within 30-day guarantee.
